Pocket Mentor Privacy Policy

Pocket Mentor ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Pocket Mentor collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the application.

1. Information We Collect

Google Account (Optional)

You are not required to create an account to use Pocket Mentor. If you choose to sign in using Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0), we may access your display name, email address and profile photo (if available).

This information is used only for:

• Authentication
• Google Drive cloud backup
• Backup restoration
• Syncing supported application preferences

Google Sign-In is optional. Pocket Mentor never receives or stores your Google account password.

Financial Information

The app allows you to manage financial records including:

• Opening Balance
• Income & Expenses
• Fixed Income & Fixed Expenses
• Savings Goals & Savings Transactions
• Debt Records
• Pocket Money
• Side Business Records
• Investment Records
• Budget Plans
• Expense Claims
• Transaction History
• Reports
• Application Settings

Technical Information

• Device model
• Android version
• Application version
• Crash reports (if enabled)
• Anonymous analytics (if enabled)

2. How We Use Information

• Manage your financial records
• Calculate balances, reports and budgets
• Create reports and expense claims
• Restore encrypted backups
• Improve application quality
• Fix bugs and improve performance

3. Data Storage

Financial data is stored locally on your device by default.

If you enable Cloud Backup, encrypted backup files are stored in your own Google Drive App Data folder.

Pocket Mentor cannot access files outside its dedicated Google Drive App Data folder.

Pocket Mentor does not permanently store your financial records on Pocket Mentor-owned servers.

4. Cloud Backup

Cloud Backup is optional and requires Google Sign-In.

• Encrypted before upload
• Stored inside your Google Drive App Data folder
• Accessible only through Pocket Mentor
• Associated with your Google Account

5. Backup Retention

Multiple encrypted backup versions may be retained to improve recovery. Older backup versions may be removed automatically to optimize storage.

6. Reports & Data Export

Reports are generated locally on your device. You control whether they are exported, printed or shared.

If password-protected export is selected, exported files are encrypted before being saved.

7. Analytics & Crash Reporting

Pocket Mentor may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics if enabled to improve quality and stability.

8. Advertisements

Pocket Mentor does not display advertisements.

9. Data Security

Reasonable security measures are used to protect your information. Google authentication is handled securely by Google using OAuth 2.0. Although reasonable safeguards are used, no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

10. Your Rights

• Use the application without signing in
• Sign in or sign out using Google
• Enable or disable Cloud Backup
• View, edit and delete financial records
• Delete Cloud Backup
• Restore Backup
• Export your data
• Generate reports
• Delete local data

11. Account & Data Deletion

Pocket Mentor does not create or manage its own user accounts. Users authenticate using Google Sign-In.

You may delete your Pocket Mentor data by:

• Deleting your Cloud Backup from within the application.
• Deleting all local data stored on your device.
• Signing out of your Google Account.

Deleting Pocket Mentor data does not delete your Google Account.

12. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of Pocket Mentor after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
